Description

A sculptural vintage poison ring in sterling silver, hand-formed as a dimensional mask with striking presence and hidden compartment.

Crafted from sterling sheet and shaped by hand, the face features bold planes and carved detail reminiscent of traditional Mexican and pre-Columbian design influences. The form feels architectural and expressive — substantial on the hand with a quiet, weighty balance that speaks to true silversmith work.

A concealed hinged compartment is integrated seamlessly into the design, rising subtly above the surface. Historically known as poison or pill boxes, these secret compartments were used to carry perfume, medicine, or small keepsakes, and remain especially sought after by collectors today.

Finished with a naturally developed patina that enhances the depth of the carving. It may be polished if preferred, though many collectors favor the richness of its aged surface.
