Ancient Roman Coin Pendant Necklace Sterling Silver Setting and Chain
A stunning coin, set by hand in sterling silver. Since the hand crafted setting is soldered, I cannot confirm this is an original ancient coin. However, the similarities are there and there is no obvious cause for doubt.
This ancient Roman coin:
Roman Republic – M. Tullius. Silver denarius. (3.87 g., 21 mm.). Rome, 120 B.C.
Helmeted head of Roma right, ROMA behind.
Victory in quadriga right, wreath above, X below horses, M TVLLI in exergue.
The coin in the setting measures 13/16 inches (21mm) wide and 1 1/8 inches (29mm) tall including the bail.
The chain is 18 inches long.
Both together weigh 7.29 grams.
