An exceptionally well-preserved Edwardian Era pocket watch chain, formed from tightly fitted curb links that create the visual rhythm of a fine braid. The chain has a rich yellow-gold color and supple construction, finished with a swivel dog clip at one end and an early tabless spring ring with a raised gripping edge at the other.
The oval connector is clearly stamped 1/10–14KT and GOLDSHELL. This high-grade construction uses a bonded 14KT gold-alloy layer stated as one-tenth of the article’s metal weight—twice the proportion commonly found in 1/20 14KT gold-filled jewelry. Dating to approximately 1900–1920 Edwardian Era, it may hold a pocket watch or fob, be doubled around the wrist, or carry charms from either clasp.
