Elegant and increasingly scarce, this antique Victorian sterling silver Albertina watch chain features a refined double-slide design with matching decorative elements throughout. The woven chain sections, coordinating slides, and tasseled fob create a cohesive and visually balanced example of period watch chain craftsmanship.
The chain includes two matching decorative slides, a tasseled drop with twisted wire strands, and a bar-form pocket watch key, allowing the piece to function both as a watch chain and as a complete accessory set. The early swivel dog clip clasp is opened by unscrewing, typical of older Albertina fittings.
The tasseled drop shows signs of having been crushed, though it remains intact and does not detract from the overall beauty or rarity of the piece. A partial mark is present on the swivel clasp but is not fully legible. Overall, the chain remains in very good antique condition with wear consistent with age.
