Description

A beautifully handcrafted vintage Indian necklace featuring guilloché-style lac enamel in a sophisticated palette of cobalt blue, blush pink, soft mauve, and gold. The teardrop-shaped pendant centers on a delicate floral medallion framed by paisley-inspired enamel motifs, creating a design that is both vibrant and elegant.

Crafted in sterling silver with a gold wash, often described as vermeil, the pendant showcases traditional Indian lac enamel work with a richly textured surface and intricate hand-applied decoration. The combination of luminous enamel and warm gold tones gives the piece remarkable visual depth while maintaining a refined, wearable character.

The necklace appears to be entirely hand fabricated, including the pendant, chain, and handmade hook clasp. The pendant is suspended directly from the chain without a separate bail, creating a clean presentation that highlights the craftsmanship throughout.

Unsigned, with maker unknown, this necklace dates from approximately the 1970s and remains in excellent vintage condition. The original finish is bright and well preserved, and the piece presents as little worn.
