Vintage Modernist Brass Collar Necklace – Hand Wrought Bib – Studio Jewelry ca 1960s
Harmonious geometric shapes across the front are finished with modernist chain links and a hook clasp.
The center is a minimalist primitive shaped winged bird in 3 linked sections measuring 2 1/2 inches tall.
Two graceful curved dimensional shapes on either side measure 3 1/4″ long each. The side segments have a slightly concave form.
The necklace measures 17 1/2″ long overall and could be adjusted smaller if desired.
Beautiful gingerbread patina on this lightweight brass creation. It is unsigned and likely dates from the late 1960s.
Due to the artisanal nature of this necklace, it is likely one of a kind.
It is in great vintage condition with a lovely light and even patina.
