Description
Antique Vintage Sterling Silver Pin Brooch Lot – Modernist – Figurals – Many Signed – 19 Pieces Total
A wonderful collection of 19 different brooches and pins. Of these, 17 are marked sterling or 925. The filigree butterfly is marked Silver, and the tremble lily-of-the-valley flowers brooch is not marked. All are in excellent condition.
Some of the marks are:
M K Stousland – girl and bird, Modernist.
Ivar T Holth – white guilloche enamel ribbon – Norway.
Irinir – man carrying an azurite druzy, giraffe set with a peach moonstone. The giraffe has a gold color clasp.
The kitty cat is marked, but not easy to read. Perhaps Tes or Fes;
The large goose is signed Danecraft, Reg US Pat Off, for a registered patent, making it pre-1950s.
The op-art heart is signed Beau.
The Art Nouveau initials pin is stamped CLS.
The modernist enameled bird is signed Peru. It’s a really fun, colorful piece.
The sleeping cat outline is not signed, but it is probably a Beau piece.
The small soldier pin has a mark, but it is not legible.
The bar pin with the floral guilloche enamel is signed Webster and marked “Sterling except pin”.
The stick pin is a cut-out Mercury dime. It is made from a real coin.
The Modernist peace dove is beautiful. It is marked simply “Sterling”. It strikes me a really good piece.
The Maltese cross is set with an amethyst. It is also a pendant. Beautiful piece.
The oval open-work brooch is set with a garnet.
The Zuni brooch is also a pendant. It has a small round jump ring on the back.
The butterfly has enamel accents, is gold washed, and is likely a Chinese Export pin.
The flowers on the lily-of-the-valley brooch tremble. It is a lovely, delicate brooch.
All are in superb condition, but the giraffe has a gold tone clasp.
The total approximate weight is 108 grams.
