The historical significance of the event celebrated by this solid 14k gold Girl Scouts charm cannot be denied. This charm is a gold replica of Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace. She is the founder of Girl Scouts.
The building depicted is her birthplace in Savannah, Georgia, which is now the Girl Scout’s historic museum. The charm is dated 10-19-56, the date of the site dedication. It is an extremely rare and unique charm.
Besides the historic importance, it is a beautifully made charm. It has great detail and is solid and hefty at 8.3 grams.
The measurements are almost 7/8″ by 13/16″ wide and 3/16″ deep at the highest point.
In very good condition, the polished back has some signs of wear consistent with age. Ca 1956, it is extremely unlikely you will ever find another.
