Description
This amazing Ancient Roman coin sterling silver bracelet was made in Italy sometime in the late 20th Century. It is stamped with a 925 mark and the Italian star plus maker’s mark registration number 326. This number was assigned to Garzi, a renowned fine jewelry maker in Arezzo Tuscany, in 1979. They have designed for Gucci.
The centerpiece is a bezel set ancient Roman. It is likely a Didrachm (490-475 BC) from the Gela Sicily region. It depicts a bearded, nude horseman wearing a conic helmet, riding right, and brandishing a spear in his upraised right hand.
The setting measures 20 mm tall by 41 mm east-west including the hinges. A 7 mm black rubber cord completes the bracelet.
The built-in clasp is a custom-designed box clasp. It unlocks with the press of the button. It is well made with high-quality materials.
This uncommon bracelet is in excellent pre-owned condition. It is gender-neutral and fits wrists up to 6 3/4 inches.
