Description
This is a gorgeous antique blue sapphire gold ring with a very fancy setting for a huge 14cts lab-created stone. The color is beautiful, deep, and intense.
The ring setting is 20mm or 3/4 inch wide, including the step-down engraved shoulders. It is 17mm or a little over 5/8 of an inch tall. The stone table (the flat center) rises 7mm or 1/4 of an inch above the hand.
You will find a cutout fleur de lis where the ring shoulders meet the band. It’s a nice touch to the design.
The ring size is 8.5. It can be sized. It was sized a long time ago. You may be able to spot the addition by zoning in on the photos of the shank. It is not obvious when worn.
Made of 10k yellow gold for durability. The mark was lost, probably during the sizing. It was carefully tested. It weighs approximately 5.3 grams.
The condition overall is good with light wear consistent with age. The lab sapphire has some wear on the corners of the table but it is not obvious when worn. We prefer to keep these treasures as true to their history as possible. The stone is 1securely in place.
This is an antique ring, it has lots of character. It is estimated to date from the late 1920s to the early 1930s.
Sapphire is the birthstone for September.
