Description
This is an absolutely exquisite jewel of a jewelry box made in Italy by Valori. The repousse or raised work on the cover is sterling silver. The stylized design is reminiscent of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement. It depicts a couple, two mythical figures, half human. Extremely ornate and beautifully made, encased in a marquetry frame. The box looks barely used, still has the jewelry store tag inside the cover adjacent to the maker, Valori. It was purchased at Zaffiro Gioielli, located in Messina, Italy.
The box measures approximately 12″ by 8″ by 3″ high. It is in very good condition except for one small area around the edge as depicted in the photos. It is not obvious and does not detract from its beauty. The sterling silver panel is rhodium plated, two high points have lost the rhodium.
Fully hallmarked, estimated to date from the 1980s.

Returns and Cancelations

- Returns are gladly accepted for store credit when you notify us within 7 days of order delivery. Returned items must be unworn, undamaged, and unaltered.
- Electronic store credits are issued to your account with PreAdored® and do not expire. Shipping charges are not credited. There are no refunds.
- Items which were discounted by any means or altered (as in the case of sized rings) are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
- If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
- If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
- We regret that we cannot cancel orders that have been shipped. Unshipped orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
