Description

Gorgeous, deeply carved Victorian Sterling Silver locket depicting a griffin. The mythical creature adorns both locket covers. Locket is very detailed, beautifully made with room for 2 images but only one bezel, which is covered with the original glass. The inner cover would hold a photo, the framed and covered side a lock of hair. Likely from the Victorian Aesthetic Period due to the ornate design.

Locket measures 15/16″ in diameter and is 1 1/4″ long and almost 3/8″ deep at the center. There are no marks, not even on the soldered bail. Carefully tested. Estimated to date from the 1880’s. In excellent condition with lovely patina, it can be polished brighter if desired.

Returns are gladly accepted for store credit when you notify us within 7 days of order delivery. Returned items must be unworn, undamaged, and unaltered.
Electronic store credits are issued to your account with PreAdored® and do not expire. Shipping charges are not credited. There are no refunds.
Items which were discounted by any means or altered (as in the case of sized rings) are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
We regret that we cannot cancel orders that have been shipped. Unshipped orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
