Description
Fabulous Art Deco Period Heraldic School Ring in 10k white and yellow gold. Dated 1932 on the sides of the setting. Not sure what school it represents. It is one of the best looking School Rings I have seen.
The setting is accented with Black Onyx framed with chased White Gold. At the center a heraldic symbol which includes the letter A in a shield, flanked by 2 horse figures. Above the shield, there is an Eagle. Some of the detail has been lost with time and regular use of the ring, but there is plenty left.
Ring setting measures almost 1″ tall by almost 1/2″ wide.
Ring size is 7 US, a little small for today’s man but perfect for many women. Overall approximate weight is 6.2 grams or 4 pennyweights.
Marked on the inside of the shank “10k, Murchison, Newark”. In excellent condition for it’s age with wear described above. Carefully tested to verify content.
