Description
Dated 1889, this antique 1 double coin has been hand enameled in blue and red to compliment the heraldic Lion Passant design. There are actually three lions in the blue shield at the center.
This unusual charm or pendant measures 1″ tall including the rings on the top by 3/4″ at the widest point and 1mm deep.
It is in very good condition, no large loss of enamel and light patina. It looks like this might be a coin reproduction with hand engraved accents as there is no ridge as you normally see on the edge of coins.
Guernsey (old Guernesey as in this pendant) is an island in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy.
