Antique Silver Tone Vesta Case Match Safe by Blake Co., James E. Marked STERLINE
A beautiful vesta match safe marked STERLINE. This mark is found in objects by Blake Co., James E. of North Attleboro, MA. active from 1899 to 1906. It does not test as sterling silver. It is probably a form of nickel silver.
It is in excellent condition; the dark areas are ambient reflections. It has no dings or defects, and the lid functions well. It can be polished further, we only hand polish antique items.
Initials of your choice can be engraved as the center is blank on both sides.
The case measures 1 3/4 inches (70mm) tall, 1 1/2 inches (38mm) wide, and 1/2 inch (13mm) deep.
It weighs .83 ounces (23.5 grams).
