Description
Incredible vintage tagua nut, mother of pearl and 14k gold statement earrings! Tagua nut is also called vegetable ivory due to it’s resemblance to elephant ivory. It is found mostly in South America.
Very nicely made, the abalone shell portion is riveted twice. Both rivets and inlay silver line are likely sterling silver although it is not possible to test them. The post is solid 14k gold, tested, and the butterflies are marked gold filled.
It measures 2.25″ long. It is in excellent condition.
