Description
This gorgeous antique Victorian double pocket watch chain with slide is crafted from gold filled metal. It has a rich look of solid gold. It features two lengths of tight curb links, a square slide, a double chain drop, a T bar, and a dog clip, giving you many options.
The chain has a nice weight of 14.3 grams and measures almost 12 inches long from the dog clip to the T bar. The double chain drop for your fob is approximately 1 inch long.
The length allows you to wear it double around the wrist. Or add another pocket watch chain and complete a necklace.
The links are 2.8 mm wide on each chain. When combined, the chain is slightly over 5mm wide.
The chain is marked for the maker and was carefully tested. It was made by R.F.S and Co. of Attleboro, Massachusets, sometime in the late 1890s. The company later became Simmons Chains.
It is in very good condition. The gold is rich and has no obvious loss. It is very well made with soldered links and joints throughout, made to last. The engraved slide has two tiny dimples from age and regular use. They are barely visible to the naked eye.
