Antique Victorian Oval Mourning Locket WITH Taille D’Epargne Enamel
This rare antique locket is exquisitely hand engraved. The Taille D’Epargne black enamel enhances the delicate pattern on both sides. Each cover has a unique design.
This locket holds the original baby photo. It has two frames for two photos. Both have the original inner frames and the glass covers.
It is very easy to replace the original photo if desired. However, collectors appreciate it being included in its undisturbed form. If you would like us to remove it for you, please ask.
The measurements are almost 1 3/4″ tall, including the rings on top, by 7/8″ at the widest point and 7/16″ deep.
It is in remarkable condition for its age, dating from the 1880s.
The locket is not marked and was carefully tested to confirm its gold filled content. It weighs approximately 10.7 grams.

- Returns are gladly accepted for store credit when you notify us within 7 days of order delivery. Returned items must be unworn, undamaged, and unaltered.
- Electronic store credits are issued to your account with PreAdored® and do not expire. Shipping charges are not credited. There are no refunds.
- Items which were discounted by any means or altered (as in the case of sized rings) are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
- If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
- If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
- We regret that we cannot cancel orders that have been shipped. Unshipped orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
